"Erik Aschengreen (born 31 August 1935) is a Danish author, university lecturer, ballet critic and theorist. Erik Aschengreen wrote for Berlingske Tidende about ballet and dance from 1964 to 2005 and has helped establish education in dance science at the University of Copenhagen. Aschengreen participated in the performing arts committee that contributed to Denmark's cultural canon, which was published in 2006. He became a doctor on Jean Cocteau and the Dance.
