The Mafia, CIA & George Bush: The Untold Story of America's Greatest Financial Debacle.

By Brewton, Pete.

New York: SPI Books, 1992. First Edition, First Printing Cloth AS NEW in FINE DJ 8vo (6-1/4 x 9-1/4), 418 pp including Acknowledgments and extensive Index. Book is FINE/AS NEW in NEAR FINE DJ (small taped 1/2" vertical tear -- taped -- on bottom of back cover -- otherwise FINE) Funny how books that don't love the Bush family (this one, also "Favorite Son" in 2000) get contracts with large mainstream publishers which are then cancelled with excuses, leaving the book to be published by a small press without much distribution. This one was bought and then abandoned by Simon & Schuster. It's about George Herbert Walker Bush, president #41, the Mafia, and the CIA, and the S&L plunder, and the BCCI international oil-country bribery system. And Neil Bush and Jeb Bush and the Iran-Contra money, etc... It's the kind of story journalists get killed trying to write. Fortunately, not this writer, not this time. An amazing -- if revolting -- look at the machinations and payoffs behind our modern history.
