Cover: textured olive cloth, gilt titles to red spineblock; moderate shelfwear, extrems a bit worn, 1-inch tear to front joint at head with small loss, spine well sunned.

pp.956 with numerous engravings and coloured plates. Foxing to end pages, incl.title page. Paper at internal hinges cracking - binding very sound. Internally very clean. Bound in green half-calf, a little rubbed on edges, especially to corners. Raised bands. Gilt red-calf title on spine. Marbled ends. A nice copy.
