Hogan Copy of An American Miniature. This early American novel is set around Philadelphia during the American Revolution. The first edition was printed in Boston in 1794 and was reprinted at least 10 times before this edition. It "illustrates the relationship sometimes existing between the novel of adventurous travel and the semi-historical novel.
