Much better condition than most copies, clean covers, bright gilt on front and spine, fading very tips of cover corners, tight binding, some shallow dents edges of rear cover from old string wrapping for mailing (books used to be mailed wrapped in paper bound vertically and horizontally with sturdy string), no foxing, solid binding, complete with all maps and plates, old owner name faintly stamped to corner of last blank page, otherwise no previous owner marks or writing on any pages.
