Beautiful art deco picture book written and illustrated by Gwen White. "The dolls in this book are all real ones, and they have been drawn either from those in the Museums or elsewhere. They vary in size from the little black Congo Doll which is five inches high, to the grand one in the purple dress and straw bonnet, which is quite three feet high. They are all dolls which children have played with, and are not the kind used as idols or puppets. In most cases they are dressed in the costumes of the period to which they belong, so the frocks would be splendid for fancy dress parties.
