(Yale's Linonian Library and the Long Island Historical Society; with stamps from each in both volumes); foxing nearly completely covers some pages; many pages have none at all. Page edges brittle and darkened (likely from smoke from a fireplace). The odd tear here and there to page top. Bindings/spines cracked/separated, but volumes are complete. Excellent candidates for being rebound, especially if Volume I can be found. Contenct certainly readable, but the copies are fragile and a bit musty.. Blue paper/boards; black lettering on maroon spine. Vol. II: 234 pp. with 1 bw plate (a map of the Passage of the Douro, 12th May 1800); Vol. III: 290 pp. with 2 bw plates (Sketches of the Battles of the Nivelle, 10th November 1813; and Albuera, 16th May 1811).
