Philadelphia: Dorrance, 1926. Cloth. Good/Poor. Small 8vo, 271 pp., b/w plates. Thaw was the murderer of architect Stanford White. Head and heel of spine bumped, covers handled and dustsoiled, small stain to rear board, insect damage to bottom of rear hinge, page edges tanned and dusty, slight discoloration to endpapers, previous owner's initials on front free endpaper, otherwise unmarked. Jacket priceclipped, worn, stained and dustsoiled, with numerous chips and tears, insect damage, tape-repair.

Closed tear at upper margin of last photo.

Bright red cloth boards have some rubbing on edges and small bump at top of spine. The dark rose Argus/Abramson dust jacket is price-clipped, lightly faded at spine and has a couple of tiny chips. Clean, straight and unmarked.

Some yellowing of end papers, light edge wear, a bright copy in a slightly chipped pictorial dust jacket (the original 1926 Dorrance jacket); the spine of the jacket is rubbed, there is some wear to the spine ends and several chips from the edges and along the rear hinge. A clipped obituary of Evelyn Nesbit is laid in, from a 1967 newspaper.
