Small purple leather hardcover with gilt lettering on spine; stamped decorations to binding; color illustrations; limited edition 1393/1500; signed by Angelo; still has the glassine wrapper; also a hard black portfolio kind of cover and they all slip into the slipcase. Book in fine minus with narrow strips of fading along top and bottom edges of binding; otherwise like new---a beautiful book. Glassine is toned and a little chipped. Portfolio has paper split over exterior joints and a tiny bump to one corner. Slipcase is split along two edges and has some other wear. .

This is a Very Good (Plus) copy, bound in gray paper boards with a banded vellum spine and paper label; yapped edges. Clean text; xvi, 125 pages, all rough-cut; frontis portrait of Burton; title page printed in red and black. Contains Swinburne's Elegy for Burton; interestingly, these pages are unopened.
