Sir Francis Edward Younghusband (1863 – 1942) was a British Army officer, explorer and spiritual writer. Edward Mary Joseph Molyneux (1866 – 1913) was a British painter.

Hardcover has some major condition issues, however this work is offered at a reasonable price in that it is still readable on beautiful vellum aper and 69 out of 70 beautiful illustrations are intact, painted by Major E. Molyneux.
Pictorial red cloth, lettered in gilt with design in blue, orange, and yellow. Top edge gilt. This ione of only 3000 coies printed, including the fore-mentioned 69 illustrations.
Binding still tight, although the front hinge is cracked, front board almost separated,major edgewear, light foxing throughout, missing Front free endpapers. Ist illustration missing, as well as the back foldout map. Page 251 has a closed tear.
The author, Younghusband, was a noted explorer, writer on Asia, and a spiritualist. His native knowledge of the area provides colorful descriptions of the towns, villages, history, and people of Kashmir at the turn of the century.
