This is a Very Good Plus to Near Fine copy of the First American Edition, a handsome production typical in the Irish diaspora. Fancy Victorian decorative binding; brown cloth, fancy blindstampings filled with black and gilt. Large octavo in size, with a clean text; 511 pages. Light rubbing and bumping. The pages are unfoxed, but Sadlier evidently put all the production cost into the binding, not the quality of paper; it is very soft and is tanning more than expected. Still, one will purchase this volume for its attractive binding and historical importance.
