Description:
Perry Township, [i.e. Mt. Horeb] WI: Perishable Press, 1994. Soft Cover. Near Fine binding. Octavo. 52 pp. Limited edition, number 39 of 125 copies. This one hand-dedicated below the colophon to Andrew Hedden, notable collector of private press books and livres d'artiste. As issued, sewn on white leather thongs which are laced into publisher's cream-colored paper wrappers; unopened; a lovely, bright copy. Of this books Hamady writes: "These twenty-two last poems celebrate life collective to us all, ranging from earthquakes to birdfeeding. The text has an afterword by Theresa Maier which assists provenance. The wood-engraved images are by Margaret Sunday, who says of them: '. . . they ask us to see the space--so does Joel. They also ask us to travel the physical book in an unusual way, and the poems ask us to travel the thinking book in a special way'" Juxtamorphing Space, 120.
