Description:
New York: Fiction Publications, 1954. First Edition, First Printing. Original wraps. Near Fine. 4 1/8 X 5 1/2 Inches. 66 PP. Important little gossip rag from the 50's featuring the "I Joined a Girl Gang" expose as well as six-page Communist propaganda story featuring Wernher Von Braun. Following the April 12, 1961 Soviet launch of Yuri Gagarin, America found itself in the heart of the Space race that captivated much of the world in the 1950's. "Is There a Red Space Station Overhead?" is a terrific example of the period sensational stories that were aimed at both scaring the American public as well as selling tons of DARE magazines. Original staples. Slight wear to corners, else a fine copy.
