Powers is the author of Morte D'Urban, which won the 1963 National Book Award for fiction. A later novel, Wheat that Springeth Green, was a finalist for the same award in 1988. He died in 1999. Powers and Lowell were friends and Lowell championed Powers work. Their friendship included attending races at Saratoga and an ongoing correspondence. Size: 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. 2nd printing..
