Green and black cloth with grey stained top edge. 286 pp. Scuffing to jacket edges and some chipping to header and footer of jacket spine. A damp spot on top block edge has led to some of the grey stain dripping down inside the front cover, leaving grey discoloration on front free endpaper and front jacket flap. This copy, for unknown reasons, has an additional, identical dust jacket which has a bit more wear and sunning. This is a first printing of Faulkner's classic novel. First editions of this book were not stated as such, but they had the grey stained top edge which this copy has.
