Top of Mandate for Change slipcase has prior price ($50) in marker still visible under block of black marker, and one of the back corner edges was previously taped, tape no longer present, residue yellowed, light cracking of the corner seems to be what prompted the taping. Both volumes tight and sound, with very slight use to the slipcases. . 8vo,. Illustrated.. Mandate for Change is inscribed and signed by Eisenhower on the half-title for Marion Folsom, his Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare, 1955-1858. Affixed to the half-title of Waging Peace is a printed presentation label with the typewritten message "For: Marion Folsom," signed, "Devotedly, Dwight D. Eisenhower. Both volumes have Marion Folsom's bookplate on the front pastedown.
