Rebound in immaculate brown buckram, with black title label to spine, and bright gilt title lettering, this 1809 Reprint is VG for date.(First Edition 1780s). 424pp with 12 chapters plus account of plants, shrubs and roads at end. Folding coloured map at front (10" x 9"), eight engraved plates, several smaller engravings set in text and nice tail pieces. No prelims before frontis, apart from new endpapers. Two small closed tears to frontis, three contents pages following frontis have chips at bottom margin: no text affected. Otherwise VG for date. . Very Good. Hardcover. Reprint. 1809.

York: Printed by W Blanchard, 1789. 4th Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. 4th edition. iv, 330pp, with occasional engraved illustrations. In a later, likely late 20th century, plain leather binding with red spine label and modern endpapers, bearing a previous owner's stamp. Boards slightly rippled down spine, else bright, strong and clean. Internally pages dust-soiled at edges and slightly worn, with some rusting and faint, scattered spotting.
