The four books that are present are complete, each comprising two volumes. Lacking volumes 3 & 4, 11-14. Published by The Grolier Society, Boston, c1899. Edition des Amateurs limited to just 100 copies, this being copy #7. Bound in full black leather with 5 raised bands to the spine. The books measure 6" x 9". Top edge gilt. The set is in very good minus condition. The boards are mostly well preserved with moderate shelf wear. Leather is chipped and torn at the spine ends of some volumes. Volume 5 the rear board is detached. Volume 6 has water damage and the rear board is cracked. Volume 8 has minor water damage to the edge of the text block on the first 10 pages.
