New York: The New York Times Co., 1925. Book. Very Good. Soft cover. First Edition. 8vo. Light wear but with a previous owner's name on the cover; no interior markings. Illustrated with photographs and maps. There is a quote from George Santayana, the American philosopher, that has a couple of variations: Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it; and - those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. So true. And he also said, "A country without a memory is a country of madmen," while the German philosopher Georg Hegel said, "We learn from history that we never learn anything from history." These Current History magazines tend to prove those statements. And a look through the titles suggests the problems and issues of 1925 weren't much different than the ones we have now.
