" Mennheimer was a preacher whose "success was due in great measure to his oratorical gifts... His German translation of the prayerbook and of the fast-day prayers, and his arrangement of the fast-day liturgy, are of permanent importance for... many communities. " (Wikipedia, 2016) SUBJECT(S) : Mannheimer, I. N. Inscription on the title page. Stamped from Rabbi Hirsch Perez Chajes' personal library. Nice association copy, as Chajes was for a period Chief Rabbi of Vienna. Some edge wear and minor foxing but overall in about very good condiiton. (GER-58-52).
