About This Item
Aubenas, France: Imprimerie de Léopold Escudier, 1872. Hardcover. Title translated into English; "Balloons Since Their Invention Until The Last Siege Of Paris." When the brothers Montgolfier launched the first balloon in space, they were far from suspecting the immense services that their invention would make a century later. They knew they had to provided science with a new and powerful way of observation of meteorology and geophysics but they would never have suspected that their invention would one day be a great benefit to mankind. Ninety pages. Later hardcover binding of quater brown buckram cloth over marbled paper covered boards. Original printed stiff paper covers bound in. A very good plus copy.
