Ends of backstrip internally reinforced. Extremities rubbed. Covers dulled. Front hinge visibly reglued. Folding map of Coomassie Expedition split at last fold and rather worn. A couple of signatures pulled. Account of battles in Ghana (against the Ashanti) and in Ethiopia. We've also had this American edition in reddish-brown cloth.
