London: Henry J. Drane Book. Illus. by Uncredited Colour Illustrations. Good Plus. Hardcover. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. Original blue cloth with flowers on boards. Meditations on Heaven. This form of meditations mixed with art has been called "Brights" or "Brilliants", combining outstanding colour drawings with famous writings, either poetry or prose. First free endpaper is missing, and there is a short gift note. Some strained gutters have been carefully glued to prevent separation. Circa 1895. Rev. Bonar, (1808-1889) was a prominent minister in Scotland, eventually being elected Moderator of Assembly. 32 pp..
