Paris: A. and W. Galignani, 1823. Book. Very Good. Half Leather. First Edition. 12mo (11 x 18cm). (Published by A. and W. Galignani, at the French, English, Italian, German and Spanish Library, No. 18, Rue Vivienne); pp. xii,135. Contemporary half polished tan calf with green title label and gilt decoration to the spine, brown markbed paper covered boards, binding very good with a little general wear and slight rubbing to extremities. Contents clean and tight, armorial bookplate of Thomas Stephen Coppinger Midleton to the front paste-down, no inscriptions. A very good tight copy. Bibliographical note: The text here is ordered differently from the London 1823 Fables for the Holy Alliance. There are also some omissions. Scarce.
