Green grained leatherette boards and spine with embossed title on spine and embossed Cimarron Territory seal on front board. Pictorial endpapers. 608 pp 4to. The first settlers to Beaver County (Oklahoma panhandle on the Kansas and Texas state lines) came to derive a living from the land. They suffered with the land through hard winters, hot summers, long droughts, and still they continued on. They realized that this was a land of opportunity, a land of future progress, and an ideal place to raise a family. In memory of these brave pioneers, their descendants have compiled this book to preserve their memories and document their courage and perseverance. A clean very presentable copy.
