New York: Alexander Hamilton Institute, 1917. Pamphlet. 5 volumes 7.5 x 5 in. Ink stamped on covers and interiors: "Bayard P. Dester, 10 Sunset Terrace, Orange, Mass." Modern business problem, no.1-2, 4-6. Five (of six, missing No. 3) booklets with role playing scenarios assigned as part of the Alexander Hamilton Institute business curriculum. The fictitious scenarios include "The Sylvan Company's Employment Problem" (on how to be a hiring manager evaluating candidates), "The National Cement Company's Oklahoma Option" (on starting a new factory), "Factory Conditions in the McArthur Machine and Specialty Company" (on an investor researching productivity), "The Franklin Thermometer Company's Dilemma" (on marketing strategy), and "Advertising the Rinson Portable Fire Escape" (on working with advertising firms and consultants). Each booklet contains an insert with model solutions to each problem.
