1883. Etching. 8 x 10 1/4 inches. Signed in pencil within neat line lower right.<br/> <br/> Beautiful view in Venice featuring the pavement running alongside a canal known as a Riva. Some foxing and toning, abrasions lower left, margins trimmed and chips to margins. Professionally restored and lined. Joseph Pennell (1857-1926), was an artist, author and illustrator. He taught at the Art Student's League in New York City and designed several iconic military posters.<br/> <br/>
