A lovely prize leather binding of The Pilgrim's Progress, for Lancaster School. The Pilgrim's Progress from the this world to that which is to come, delivered under the similitude of a dream wherein is discovered the manner of his setting out, his dangerous journey and safe arrival at the desired country. The Pilgrim's Progress is a Christian allegory that is regarded as one of the most significant works of theological fiction in English Literature, written by John Bunyan who was an English writer and Puritan preacher. This is a Macmillan reprint. With a previous owner dedication to the front of the volume that states To my dear friend Gesie, from Sidney, March 17, 1987. "This is love, that we walk after his commandments." (2 John v. 6) In a full calf prize binding for Lancaster School. Externally, very smart with some very light marks to the boards. With a previous owner dedication to the front of the volume. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Very Good Indeed
