Attractive 'Bedford College for Women' library stamp to title pages (no other ex-lib markings), with previous ownership signatures to front endpapers. Texts otherwise unmarked. Bindings square & tight.. Two volumes in 8vo. 4.625 x 7.125 in. 243 pp. Vol. I, Parts I-II of the 'Homeri Carmina', Iliadis I-XXIV. Dark teal cloth, roan spine label titled in gilt. The text of The Iliad in Greek, with Preface, Notes, etc. in Latin. Includes also 'founder of modern philology' FRIEDRICH AUGUST WOLFE'S Summaries of the Books. A sturdy, handsome little set of Dindorf's Iliad. Teubner critical text, published as part of the Bibliotheca Scriptorum Graecorum et Romanorum Teubneriana.
