B&W photos throughout with a folout map at back ; 5 X 4 X 1 inches; 380 pages; A B&W frontispiece and fold-out maps illustrate this history of the organization (Royal North-West Mounted Police of Canada) which formed the basis of the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police). This is from the excellent facsimile series of early Canadiana and exploration put out by Mel Hurtig in the 1970's. It was originally published in 1910. .
