Cassell and Company Ltd, London, Toronto, Melbourne and Sydney, 1943. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Illustrator: Illustrated. Introduction by compiler. Black-and-white photographic frontispiece of the Right Honourable Winston Churchill. The text is illustrated with another for black-and-white photographs. Red coloured cloth covered boards with black coloured titles to the back strip. A book of speeches given by Winston Churchill in the early part of WWII  1942. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges; bumping of the book corners with rubbing of the lower book edges. Fading of the top edge of the front panel, back strip and to the first half centimetre of the rear panel, closest to the back strip. A few rubs marks and stains to the book covers with some flecking to the top edge of the rear panel. Light tanning of the text block edges and pages. Offset tanning to the end pages with previous owners' names to the lower edge of the free front end page. The front hinge has oh -so slightly started to crack. There is a small black ink mark to the verso of the frontispiece. First Australian Edition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [6], VII -XIV, 258 pages,. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
