Fantod Press, 1990. Book. Fine. Soft cover. Limted/numbered/signed. 32mo - over 4 - 5" tall. Small staple bound oblong paperback, published by the Fantod Press, [New York], 1990. This is no. 40 of a limited edition of 500, [the first separate edition] of this title, signed by Edward Gorey on the colophon page using the pseudonym Mrs Regera Dowdy [an anagram of the author's name]. Unpaginated [32 pages]. Original blue/gray stiff paper wrappers with decorative illustrations on both front and back cover by Gorey. Illustrations printed on rectos, corresponding letterpress on facing versos. A very nice low numbered copy of this title, printed by the press that Gorey founded in 1962. The story was first published in "Amphigorey Also". A pristine copy with sharp corners, no previous ownership marks and no creasing. Fine. .
