New York: Privately Printed [Adrian Van Sinderen], 1941. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine. Tall 8vo. Pp. 124. Illustrated with color photograph plates, and many black-and-white photos of horses and carriages. Photographic endpapers. Bound in full gray cloth imprinted with a diamond patter and labeling in a burnt red, in matching slipcase. Pages 34-35 were once adhered and then separated, leaving a dime-size abrasion. Edition limited to 600 copies. Printed by the sons of William E. Rudge. Near Fine in and age-toned slipcase. A curious compendium of the author's experiences and thoughts on a range of subjects, including hackney racing, the Cohasset Show, Montezuma's castle, the Needles, the Badlands of South Dakota, known by the Dakota as Mako Sica, reference to Mesa Verde and its rediscovery by Richard Wetherill and Charles Mason.
