The Devil's Hunt; Libation by Death; Primrose Convention

The Detective Book Club produced volumes of three crime novels from 1942 to 1999. Originally monthly, near the end they dwindled down to just a few per year. Many famous detective and crime novelists had their early works featured in DBC editions. Often, books were published in DBC editions before, or at the same time as they were published in mass market form. This is one of the last issues of the DBC, and they were cutting corners to stay afloat. Therefore, there is a weakness in the binding that could make it come apart a bit if not handled with care.

About the authors:
P. C. Doherty: Some writers find one muse and stick to it. Sue Grafton wrote about little else than her Kinsey Milhone character. Agatha Christie had a small party of sleuths. P. C. Doherty has 14 series (including one just started in 2018) under seven different pen names. He has published upwards of 120 different novels and has had stories appear in other people's collections as well. The devil's Hunt is one of his historical whodunits, featuring Hugh Corbett in his 16th case.

Dorian Yeager: Yeager wrote only 6 books that made it into print and appears to have retired from writing at the young age of 48. Her two heroes were Victoria Bowering (4) and Elizabeth Will (2). This is the fourth and final Vic Bowering novel.

Jo Bannister: Bannister is still going strong at the age of 67, with a new book coming out in 2019. Along with ten stand alone novels, she has written 30 detective novels in six different series. This book is her first Rosie Holland novel.
