London: R. Ware, 1751. Hardcover. Very Good. 1751 edition, small 8vo, rebacked in handsome calf to period style retaining original leather boards, also showing expert restoration, else very good, lacking frontispiece but with 99 plates in very good condition. Its first owner, Samuel Marshall 'operative mason,' has signed his name on pastedown and again on the verso of one of the plates, dated there 1771, but another notation shows that he owned this book in 1751. Some versos of plates have other numerical notations etc. TOGETHER with a copy in later 3/4 morocco, lacking title page, frontispiece, ends at plate 98, some of the later plates worn and missing portions, but most of the plates in good condition, with some old notations. Some plates with ink stains, etc. Thrown in for the same price!
