New York: John Day Company, 1960. First American edition, 1960. Illustrated in black and white. Black linen with red and gilt spine lettering, 246 pages, illustrated dustjacket. The book is in very good condition with some edgewear including gently rubbed spine ends, sound text block, good hinges, clean pages with no names or other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped and is also in very good condition with only about one percent paper loss overall, in the form of a half inch neatly closed tear bottom front left corner, three small chips (two at bottom of spine panel, one top right front panel), and a heavily rubbed spine head.. First US Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
