About This Item
New York: Pierre Matisse Gallery, 1980. Ephemera. VG. (light wear & rubbing to edges. interior clean). illustrated tri-fold invitation card; interior printed. Pierre Matisse, the son of Henri Matisse, became Zao Wou-ki's representative and this exhibition was considered the artist's return to the North American art scene. Exhibition was held November 29, 1980 at the Pierre Matisse Gallery. Front three panels of the card are printed with Wou-ki's piece "December 15, 1976." Interior center panel is printed with invitational language and exhibtion date. A nice, scarce piece of Zao Wou-ki's artistic timeline.
