Thomas R. Knox & Co., 1865. Hardcover. Collectible - Good. The only date is the 1865 on the copyright page. But this is clearly not an 1865 binding; it looks much more like the 80s. Light green cloth with a gilt title panel on the cover. Just a Good copy: light rubbing to the cloth, the front hinge is cracked but the binding is firm, the entire text block is toned.

Binding is cockeyed, and back cover is starting to split off, though it is still well enough attached for mindful handling. Edges visible worn. Front and back free endpapers have ben torn out. Child's name inside front cover, but text itself clean. The second volume of a children's history of the American Civil War, published shortly after the end of the conflict. Illustrated with a few black and white plates.
