Letter salutation written at Northumberland House, the London residence of the Percy family, from Elizabeth Percy, wife of Sir Hugh Smithson who became Duchess of Northumberland in 1766. The letter fragment is tipped onto part of an album page and gives the date followed by Elizabeth Percy's salutation and signature. An attractive item relating to one of the great families of northern England. Very Good 1760
