About This Item
Cambridge, MA: Riverside Press, 1964. von Schmidt, Eric. First edition. Signed by Eric von Schmidt, paired with an original pen-and-ink drawing of the story's be-hatted crow from page twenty. von Schmidt's illustrations throughout offer a colorful and suitably spooky visual aid to his fable-like tale. Bound in full gray cloth with original price-clipped dust wrapper. Wrapper shows expected edgewear and several chips. Overall very good.
