New York: Carlton & Porter, 1851. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, blind stamped brown cloth boards with gilt on spine. Exterior shows minor edge and corner bumps and fading to the spine. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight. Pages are toned due to age and moderate foxing is present throughout. Front pastedown has original owners name written in pencil. Pastedown and opposite tissue guard page also has pricing written in pencil. Book would normally grade at a strong VG to VG+ but the front end page is missing. Because of this condition has been dramatically lowered.
