About This Item
London: Samuel French. French's monologue series No. 60. These country tales were broadcast by the BBC and spoken by Bernard Miles. Bernard Miles has signed this copy in pencil on the title page and dated it 1958. The previous owner has clearly gone to some trouble to obtain this copy. Loosely inserted is a slip from the publishers saying "Regret "Yokel Yarns" by Harry Ibbetson now out of print" dated 4th February 1977. Also inserted is a compliments slip from the BBC dated 15th March 1977. The previous owner (thought to be the actor Derek Glynne as this book came from his library) has written on the verso of the cover "Out of Print Rare Copy". Minor wear, ghost of a piece of selotape on the cover. . Very Good. Card Covers. First Edition. 1954.
