Simpkin, Marshall, Hamilton, Kent & Co, 1901. 3rd Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. the Author. inscribed on the front end page (probably by the author's mother) " Presented by Mrs Ross Christmas 1927). it is also inscribed in the same hand underneath the author's photo : "S. Africa 1900-1. Sergeant Percy T. Ross D.C. was killed in action on may 25th 1915...."there are no other inscriptions but there is a neat bookplate from a previous owner under the front board. the binding is strong. the top of the spine has been repaired. the condition is given in terms of the book's age..
