About This Item

Chicago: Newsstand Library, 1959. Book. Illus. by Robert Bonfils;. Very Good. Soft cover. First Edition. 190 pp. Newsstand Library U121. Light edge and corner wear with a faint crease on the spine; no interior markings. Cover art by Robert Bonfils. His magazine blazoned TRUTH on its covers. It promised its readers the real story. And between the covers it gave its readers the most bizarre, shocking, titillating, sensational stories of the century, stories made up of half-truths distorted by lascivious innuendoes and gleeful conjectures. Marriages were destroyed, careers wrecked and suicides often followed exposure and the magazine proceeded ruthlessly to the next issue..
