Flat signed by the Calligrapher George Simpson to front free endpaper. Contains black and white photographic plates. Pages and plates are lightly tanned and foxed throughout. Occasional thumb-marking present. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Soft crushing to spine ends. Mild tanning to spine and edges. Unclipped jacket has light edge wear with chips, tears and creasing. Light sunning to spine and edges.

A lovely clean crisp very tight copy with bright unmarked boards and very minor bump to lower front corner. Dust jacket not price clipped or torn with light creasing to edges. 192pp. There are collected 101 comments on Hampstead and its inhabitants ranging from the lyricism of Keats to the satire of Alan Coren. Some previously unpublished writing is included, notably passages from the autobiography of Sylvia Lynd. Based on 1986 Exibition at Burgh House, New End Square.
