About This Item

LEIBER, Fritz. The Worlds of Fritz Leiber. With a New Introduction by Justin Leiber. Boston: Gregg Press, 1979. 8vo, xii 340pp. Green cloth with spine stamped in red and gold. A fine copy without dust jacket as issued. Signed by the author, Fritz Leiber. Scarce signed.

First hardcover edition, being a photographic reprint of the 1976 Ace Books paperback edition. A collection of 22 stories from one of the masters of the science fiction genre, including his 1976 Hugo-winning "Catch That Zeppelin!" Also featured in this collection are both of Leiber's stories about Dr. Dragonet, the story "When the Change-Winds Blow" from his "Change War" stories, and the story "The Bait" which appears in the sixth book of The Saga of Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser. All Gregg Press titles were printed on acid-free paper, sewn and bound in library-grade cloth bindings stamped with a color panel and gold lettering, and issued without dust jackets. Most of their print runs were under 500 copies, with no title ever selling more than 1,250 copies.
