Boston: The Stratford Company, 1926. James Joseph Walsh (1865-1942), physician and scholar, also wrote several popular books, including this one that preceded Thomas Cahill's by a few decades. This is a Near Fine copy of the First Edition. Green cloth binding, blindstamped in gilt. Clean text; 432 pages, indexed. The dustjacket is present, but has separated at all folds and has several large chips, including one at the head of the spine which removes most of the title. In an archival plastic protector. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Good.
