About This Item

The book is clean and tight with many great photos in black and white. It has previous owner's name on the inside covers and it is inscribed on the front end paper to the owner and signed by the author on the next page. It shows some shelfware on the front cover and corners, small bump on the back lower edge.

"It is Sunday morning in my study under the old live oak and I can see that its catkins are falling. The delicate fragrance of a white Bauhinia blossom floats up from the table besides me. A dying leaf from a mango tree stares at me and reminds me disturbinly that years ago some disease stripped thousands of leaver from my trees."
