Los Angeles: Brooke House Publishers, 1976. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. Signed by Author(s). 1st Edition. Circus Clowns 1976, multi-signed 1st edition. This book SIGNED by several performing clowns! The World of Clowns, larger sized hard cover with jacket by George Bishop, 1976, 1st printing with 184 pages. The author is a big clown fan who went to many a circus and made many friends in the Clown world. I'm not sure if this was owned by the author (he was local) but either he or another fan got several clowns to sign. The owner is identified as 'Speed-O' and may also have been a performer. There are also a few marginal notes...i.e. "Met him at.... Signed by Benjamin the Clown Squeeky (a friend of Bill Bailey) Hamm Holiday (?) Bobby Kay Bob Levent Prince Rippo. Harold Simmons Also signed by Dyer Reynolds, an artist known for his portraits of clowns (and might also have been a clown named Ichabod) An evocative circus and clown book. Nice collectible condition. .
