About This Item
Scarce catalog by the greatly influential Polish Neo-Avant-Garde group, Warsztat Formy Filmowej.
The group Warsztat Formy Filmowej (Workshop of Film Form, WFF) was formed by Neo-Avant-Garde visual artists from the Film School of Lodz. Active between 1970-1977, the WFF was a pioneer of video art in Poland and structural cinema in Central and Eastern Europe. The group refused classical narrative and traditional film media, working instead somewhere between cinematography and contemporary art.
Present publication includes richly illustrated, detailed description of numerous films by the artists of WFF, as well as a short introduction of the four collaborators of the catalog, including three co-founders of the group, Wojciech Bruszewski (1947-2009), Paweł Kwiek (1951) and Józef Robakowski (1939).
